Honoring the Brave: The Story of Retro Rampage

Retro Rampage, a noble cause reborn
From Rampage YYZ, where the story was born
In the 1980s, a journal came to light
Rampage, created by AC ramp employees, a noble sight

Lorne Riley and Steve Polak took the lead
With contributions from others, in whose hearts the cause did breed
Dugald Carmichael, Pete Black, Mike Heron too
Bill Sanderson, names we honor, for all that they knew

But when Mike Barclay transferred to YHZ
The publication ended, the story still untold
Until 2010, when Ron Tupling, Dugald and Michael took the stand
And founded a Facebook group, Rampage YYZ in hand

Over ten years later, with 1100 members strong
They added a website, to keep the story long
Organizing photos and videos, a new endeavor
Thanks to the work of Michael Mele, forever

But change came, as it often does
Michael Mele left for personal reasons, just because
Retro Rampage, the name was changed with care
Honoring the contributions of ground employees everywhere

So here’s to Retro Rampage, a website and more
Documenting the sacrifices of AC ramp employees, forever to soar
Their story is one of bravery, and dedication too
Their legacy lives on, in Retro Rampage, forever true.
