Air Shmenge

Rob and Mike Shmenge were two brothers from Poland who were well-known musicians in their home country. They played the polka together as a duo and had recorded over 100 albums. However, they were ready for a new life and decided to immigrate to Canada, the land of opportunity.

Once in Canada, the brothers decided to pursue their dream of becoming pilots. They enrolled in pilot school and worked hard for four years to earn their qualifications. After graduating, they began working for a major Canadian airline, starting from the bottom and working their way up.

Eventually, Rob and Mike decided to start their own business and founded a charter airline called Air Shmenge. They sold their complete works of music and used the money to buy a small plane, a DC-3. They operated their airline out of Buttonville Airport, north of Toronto, with Rob and Mike taking turns as pilots and flight attendants. They also entertained their passengers by playing the polka on their accordions.

As their business grew, the brothers hired additional employees named Rob, Janet, Matt, Joe, and Paul, and moved their base of operations to Lester B Pearson Airport. They even took their company public, offering it on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Today, Air Shmenge is trading at $22 per share and is a thriving business
