“A Dream Come True: The Story of John Brodeur and Guy Lafleur”

As John Brodeur walked through the airport, he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw none other than Guy Lafleur, one of the greatest hockey players of all time and a Montreal Canadiens legend. John was a devoted Canadiens fan and had always admired Lafleur’s talent and skill on the ice.

As he approached Lafleur, he could see that the hockey legend was surrounded by fans and airport staff, all eager to get a photo or an autograph. John hung back, not wanting to push his way through the crowd, but then someone called out to him.

“Hey, John! Guy here was told that you’re probably the biggest Canadiens fan there ever was,” said the airport manager, who was standing next to Lafleur.

John couldn’t believe it. He had always dreamed of meeting one of his idols, and now here was Guy Lafleur, right in front of him. He stuttered out a greeting and shook Lafleur’s hand, trying to compose himself.

Lafleur chuckled and patted John on the back. “I’ve heard a lot about you, John. It’s great to finally meet you,” he said.

John felt like he was floating on air. He couldn’t believe that he was actually standing there, talking to Guy Lafleur. He asked if he could drive Lafleur around the airport in the company pickup, and Lafleur agreed.

As they drove around the airport, John couldn’t help but wave his Canadiens flag out the window with pride. He showed off all the different parts of the airport to Lafleur, pointing out the different terminals and gates as they passed.

Finally, it was time for Lafleur to catch his flight. John shook his hand and said goodbye, but as he did, he couldn’t resist slipping a dab of grease in his palm. It was a practical joke that he had always played on his friends, and he couldn’t resist the opportunity to play it on his idol.

“Grease never sleeps,” he said with a grin as he handed Lafleur a tissue to wipe his hand.

Lafleur laughed and patted John on the back again. “Thanks for the ride, John. It was great meeting you. You’re a true Canadiens fan,” he said before heading off to catch his flight.

John watched him go, still in shock at the amazing encounter he had just had. He knew that he would never forget this moment, and he would always be grateful for the chance to meet his hero, Guy Lafleur.
