In skies above, the air is alive, With planes that soar and gently glide. But hidden from view, on the ground, Are those who keep them safe and sound.
Air traffic controllers, so skilled and so true, Guiding each flight with care and due. They watch and they listen, with eyes and ears keen, To make sure all aircraft are safe and serene.
With radar and radios, they keep track of all, The comings and goings, the rise and the fall. They speak in a code, that only they know, Directing each plane to its final flow.
Through storm and through clear, they’re always on duty, To make sure each flight is a success, a beauty. They work in the shadows, unseen by the crowd, But they are the unsung heroes, who keep us all proud.
So let us give thanks to the controllers of flight, For the work that they do, day and night. For keeping us safe, as we travel above, We are grateful to them, with all of our love.
