Once upon a time, a ramp worker at the Toronto airport had a truly miserable day. They were tasked with servicing the lavatory on a 757, which involved using the “doughnut” system. This involves opening a panel and pulling a latch to release the waste, which is contained in a doughnut-shaped container.
As the ramp worker opened the panel, they were horrified to see gallons of “used blue juice” and “debris” falling onto their arm and down their sleeve. It turns out that some knucklehead had not only forgotten to replace the doughnut container, but had also pulled the release valve, causing a huge mess.
