A difficult year it has been,
We lost so many friends,
Colleagues and coworkers too,
Taken from us, all too soon.
In January, Tony Bachan and Glenn Zegarchuk,
In February, Annakay Harvey, taken so young,
The shock of Roskovich’s loss in February,
And in March, Bags Badonas, Rob Eggleton, Reg Harris, Jerry Crean, and Bill Chopp.
April saw the loss of Bill Carnie,
And in May, Bruce Johnstone and Giovanni Di Fonzo,
June brought the passing of Alex Haidy and Rowdy Meitz,
The “Tree,” Anthony McMeekin, left us too.
July saw Ron Cannon depart,
Tragically, John Vernon passed in a motorcycle accident,
August saw the loss of Garry Mozes,
Tino and Monika, taken together in an unfortunate turn.
The list goes on, Tom Dunsmore and Don McNab,
Mark Macdonald and Peter Sisnett,
Joe “Lee Van Cleef” Pisani, cartoonist David Kearney,
Rob Rowe, taken from us too soon.
December was a month of great loss,
Dave “ten to two” Wright and Joe Ilzzolino, Frank D’Urzo and so many more,
And most recently, in a tragic accident, Sean “Seal Pup” Carpenter.
We remember and honor them all,
May they rest in peace.
