The Haunted Casket: A Practical Joke Gone Wrong

Peterson was a cargo ramp agent at a major Canadian airline. He worked at the cargo terminal in GCI, where customers would drop off their cargo to be shipped on the aircraft. One day, a customer brought in an empty funeral casket to be shipped. When Peterson saw the casket, he was superstitious and became spooked by its presence. He refused to handle it.

His colleague, who was working alongside him, noticed Peterson’s distress and offered to handle the casket. He told Peterson to go get some shipping labels for him. Relieved, Peterson went to retrieve the labels. When he returned, his colleague was nowhere to be found, and the customer had already left. The only thing remaining at the dock was the casket.

Peterson reluctantly approached the casket and began putting the labels on top of it. To his shock and horror, the casket door suddenly opened and a person sat up vertically. Peterson freaked out and started screaming in his native Haitian language. He didn’t realize that the person in the casket was his buddy, who had played a practical joke on him.
