The Dream That Became a Nightmare: A Flight Attendant’s Tragedy

As a young woman, Mary had always dreamed of becoming a flight attendant. She loved the idea of traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, and was thrilled when she finally landed a job with a major airline.

Her family, however, was less enthusiastic. Mary’s mother, in particular, was deeply worried about the dangers of the job. She had a recurring dream that Mary would be killed in a plane crash, and begged her daughter to reconsider her career choice.

In the end, Mary’s love for her family won out. She was persuaded to retire from flying after the Lockerbie Disaster in 1988, and instead pursued a career as an accountant. Despite her initial reservations, Mary quickly excelled in her new profession, and was eventually offered a position at a prestigious accounting firm in New York City.

For many years, Mary was happy and successful in her new role. She enjoyed the challenges and rewards of her work, and loved living in the vibrant, bustling city. However, her happiness was short-lived. On the morning of September 11, 2001, Mary was at her office in the World Trade Centre when the devastating attacks occurred. Tragically, she was one of the thousands of people who lost their lives that day.

Though Mary’s mother’s worst fears had ultimately come true, Mary’s memory lived on in the hearts of her loved ones, who took comfort in knowing that she had lived a full and meaningful life, even if it was cut short much too soon.
