In a world where air travel is the norm, there was a man named Jack, who worked as a flight attendant. Jack was a smooth talker, always able to charm his way out of difficult situations. However, one day, he received a visit from a mysterious figure who introduced himself as “Death.” Death informed Jack that his time had come and that he would be the next person to die.
Jack, being the smooth talker he was, tried to negotiate with Death, saying that he had a flight to attend to and that it would be a shame for all the passengers to die with him. Death, being the understanding entity it was, agreed to let Jack live for one more flight, on the condition that he would be the next person to die afterwards.
With his newfound lease on life, Jack went about his duties as a flight attendant, but with a newfound sense of urgency. He went above and beyond to ensure that all the passengers on his flight were comfortable and safe. He even went as far as to save a child from choking on a piece of candy.
As the flight landed and the passengers disembarked, Jack thought that he had managed to cheat Death. However, as he was walking through the airport, he met a new passenger who was scheduled to fly on the next flight. The passenger was none other than Death himself, who had come to collect Jack as promised.
Jack, realizing that Death could not be cheated, accepted his fate with grace. As Death and Jack boarded the next flight together, the other passengers looked on in confusion, unaware of the reality that Death walks among us, always looking for its next victim.
The moral of the story: death can come for us at any time and in any place, but it’s how we face it that truly matters.
