In Port Dover, by the sea, There once stood a gentle giant, known as “The Tree.” Anthony McMeekin, with a heart of gold, A ramp agent at Air Canada, stories to be told.

A master crossword solver, cryptic puzzle king, A sense of humor that made everyone sing. Jeopardy in the crew lunchroom, baseball and golf, Anthony’s spirit, forever young and aloft.

A connection runner, station attendant on the ramp, Always working hard, with a strong and steady camp. Philosophical, a thinker, a friend to all, Port Dover will never be the same, now that he’s fallen.

But Anthony’s legacy lives on, in the hearts of those he knew, And in the park bench on the first hole, with a plaque in memory of you. Reunited now with his brother “Branch,” In heaven above, where you’ll both have your chance.

To play golf, to laugh, to share stories anew, Rest in peace, Anthony McMeekin, our dear friend, “The Tree.”
