In the 1980’s, a monthly printed journal called Rampage was created and produced for AC YYZ ramp employees by Lorne Riley and Steve Polak with contributions from Dugald Carmichael, Pete Black, Mike Heron, Bill Sanderson and others. This project was later taken over and edited by Mike Barclay until his transfer to YHZ at which point, the publications ceased.
In 2010, three motivated AC Ramp individuals determined that there was a desire for an online commemorative display of photos and videos that celebrated the contributions and sacrifices of thousands of ground employees. A Facebook Group Website called Rampage YYZ was born. Ten years later and with over 1100 members, we are complimenting our social media with an online presence for organizing and documenting the photos and videos. Please welcome and support our newest edition to
the family: “ https://rampageyyz.ca ”. Thanks to the tireless work of our creative artistic consultant and fellow administrator Michael Meleca, a website off Facebook that supports this most worthy cause has been launched. The logistics of managing such a large body of material requires categorizing it in a fashion that is not available to us using Facebook.
On behalf of Dugald, Michael, Francine and I, we wish you and your
families a safe and prosperous 2021.
Fraternally, Ron Tupling (Baggologist Ret.)
